Nowadays, folks think
it improper to spank children, so over the years I've tried a variety of discipline alternatives when a
child had one of "those moments."
Separation &
re-direction work well, but one that I found especially effective is to simply take the child for a short car ride.
They usually calm down quite quickly and the offensive behavior
disappears altogether after just one "field trip".
